This early Permanite Big Red is a very fine pen, definitely above average. It comes in the original box (no papers) and shows only moderate wear, although the color of the barrel and cap is just a bit off. I do not think it is a mismatch, I think it came from the factory like this. Although lightly struck, the imprint is fully readable and the whole pen  is definitely above average. It does, however, have an owner imprint on the cap. Get past that and you have a fine collectible or user.
