This is a lovely early M400 and matching .5 mm pencil. Both are marked W. Germany. Unfortunately the pen appears to have seen some heat and the binde shows surface ripples. I have tried to capture the effect in one of the images. The damage is purely cosmetic. The price reflects that. The nib is a Medium that shows more softness than flex. A great go-anywhere-do-anything set.

This pen is also part of a collection of mostly Pelikans that I have been asked to sell by the family of Gilly Hart, who was my first webmaster after my daughter Anna, designer of the site, went off to college. Sadly, Gilly died in February 2020 at the age of 38.
