Description:

I don't often sell this variant of the Pelikan 101N for the simple reason that it has never appeared in any catalogue. Still, there seem to be a lot of them around. My theory is that they were produced in the early 2000s out of a trove of parts that once belonged to Pelikan's Portuguese distributor, Emege. Not everyone agrees.

If you can get beyond its sketchy origins, this is a lovely pen. It has the less common single milled cap band and the fluted clip. And the cap and barrel colors match almost perfectly, something you do not often see. If this pen does not sell, I may be tempted to retrofit the "proper" red hard rubber parts, and I will do that on buyer's request.

Overall this is a superb pen and in a slant sort of way, a piece of Pelikan history. (PE4472)
